Jessy Schram is an American actress born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. At a young age, Schram began the entertainment industry, quickly establishing her career in commercials, voice over work and theatre before making the bold move to Los Angeles at 18. There, she immediately started working in television and film and began to accrue a long list of acting credits including leading series regular roles in Steven Spielberg’s TNT drama Falling Skies and ABC’s Last Resort.
Schram also completed major arcs on the popular series Nashville and received critical acclaim for her role as Bonnie Whiteside on the award-winning drama Mad Men. She then stepped into the iconic shoes of Cinderella as a recurring character on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and stole the hearts of fans across the globe with her recurring roles on Veronica Mars and Medium, in which she took on the role of a young Patricia Arquette. Most recently, Schram has taken on the complex leading role of Dr. Hannah Asher, NBC’s hit drama, Chicago Med.
While Schram’s presence on the silver screen is most notable, she drew the attention of the late film director Tony Scott, playing opposite Chris Pine in the action-thriller blockbuster, Unstoppable. Able to transfer from a blockbuster hit to the world of independent film, she appeared opposite Lake Bell and Jon Bernthal in Shot Caller and worked alongside Finn Wittrock and Emilie de Ravin in The Submarine Kid, as well as with Jeff Garlin, Sarah Silverman and Amy Sedaris in the ensemble comedy I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With.
Schram is a familiar face to Hallmark Channel viewers from her many starring roles over the years in movies such as A Royal New Year’s Eve, The Birthday Wish, Harvest Moon, Road to Christmas, Mystic Christmas, Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas, Country at Heart, Nashville Christmas Carol and, most recently, Mystic Christmas. Additionally, she was seen in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie A Smile as Big as the Moon.
In addition to acting, Schram pursues music as a singer/song-writing solo artist. With a mix of folk and pop, her music leans towards thoughtful lyrics and an acoustic delivery. While she has performed at places like The Knitting Factory, Molly Malones, Hard Rock Cafe, Tweeter Center, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Hancock Music Center and many more, her talents have allowed her to sing and write for the characters she plays on screen (Nashville, Jane Doe, Country at Heart). Her music can be found on all major music streaming sites, especially around the holidays with her most recent Christmas EP release.
Schram’s passion and dedication has helped fulfill her dreams and goals. Not only is she a role model for other aspiring performers, but she is actively involved in working with different charities, visiting orphaned children in Baja, Mexico, through a group called Corazon De Vida. When time allows, she likes to spend time with Red Eye through their Watts Youth Mentoring program and supports organizations like Liberia Chimp Rescue.
