Aimee Garcia is a SAG Award nominee who starred on Netflix’s Lucifer for five seasons and currently stars on Hulu’s How To Train Your Dragon.  She recently headlined Netflix’s film Christmas With You, which premiered #1 in 80 countries and #3 in the US.  Other TV credits include Showtime’s Dexter, Hulu’s WOKE, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K and ABC’s The George Lopez Show, which earned her an Impact and ALMA Award.  In film, Garcia starred in José Padilha’s RoboCop, opposite Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton, Bill Holderman’s What They Had, opposite Hilary Swank, The Addams Family with Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac and she narrated James L. Brooks’ Spanglish starring Adam Sandler. 

On the writing front, she wrote and directed a short film starring Alfred Molina, Tony-nominated Olga Merediz and Lamorne Morris.  She also wrote a story for DC Comics’ Wonder Woman: Black & Gold.  And, alongside New York Times Bestseller AJ Mendez, she co-wrote Universal’s Blade of the 47 Ronin, which reached #3 on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies List.  In 2020, Garcia and Mendez founded Scrappy Heart Productions to elevate diverse stories with universal themes, making underdogs the stars of their own stories.  The duo co-wrote IDW Publishing’s GLOW, based on the Netflix property, and Dungeons & Dragons, which made Sci-Fi’s Best Comics of 2020 list.  Currently, they are developing Mendez’s New York Times bestselling memoir Crazy Is My Superpower for television with A+E Studios. 

A Chicago native and Northwestern University graduate, Garcia works with MOSTE, a non-profit organization which mentors girls from underserved communities and Lurie’s Children’s Hospital, which provides pediatric care and innovative medical technology to children across the globe.  She has 2.2 million engaged fans on Instagram and can be easily bribed with chocolate.
