For over two decades, actress Cindy Busby has been making waves in the entertainment industry with roles in both movies and television. She is best known for her series regular role as Ashley Stanton in Heartland, one of the most popular Canadian television shows ever produced, syndicated in over 81 countries around the world and a fan favorite on Netflix. Over the years, Busby’s incredible work ethic and reputation earned her move than 20 lead roles, notably starring in Unleashing Mr. Darcy, premiering with over 3 million viewers and breaking the network’s social media record at the time, as well as Royal Hearts, which she filmed in Romania with James Brolin.
Working with Hollywood heavy hitters has always come naturally to Busby, so it is no surprise that her resume is filled with familiar names: Steve Martin in The Big Year, Lea Thompson in A Life Interrupted, triple threat Ashanti in Honey Girls, Ashley Tisdale in Picture This and Kathie Lee Gifford in A Godwink Christmas.
In 2021, Busby was also nominated for a LEO Award for her work in Web of Dreams by V.C. Andrews. Along with Busby’s movie credits are television roles that have also helped make her a household name, with recurring roles on Hallmark Channel’s first-ever original primetime series Cedar Cove starring Andie MacDowell, as well as ABC’s Somewhere Between. A dream came true for Busby when she got to exercise her comedic talents as a series regular in Date My Dad, starring Barry Watson. She has also guest starred in cult classic television shows such as Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, The L.A. Complex and Psych.
Most recently, Busby starred in the Hallmark Channel original movie A Whitewater Romance.
